100 Days of First Grade

Today was 100 everything! We stayed quiet for 100 seconds (it may have taken two tries :)), jumped 100 times, did 100 situps, tried to balance on one foot for 100 seconds, enjoyed 100 treats, counted to 100 by 1s, 2s, 5s, and 10s, solved 100 math problems, made 100 tally marks, read 100 high frequency words, tossed a coin 100 times (tails won!), completed our 100th day of school on your own activity book, and, most importantly, made it through 100 days of hard work in first grade.

Check out what Melissa predicts she'll look like when she's 100 (note the gray hair and cane).
Some of us enjoying our 100 day snacks while wearing our 100 day tally mark hats.
Some of us working on 100 addition problems.

Alma and Nina rolling their die 100 times to see which number wins.
Today was much like the first 99 days of school: busy and productive!!
Carlos ended the day with the perfect comment, "I want 100 more days of first grade!"
I couldn't agree more...

Haircuts!

After a long weekend, several of us came back to school with some new 'dos!

Pajama Day!

Our student council hosted a day of pajamas last week. What could possibly be better than spending a day with your school family working hard (and making goofy faces) in comfy pajamas??

Happy Valentine's Day!

First we decorated... then we delivered our Valentine's...
and had a day of crafts...
while preparing our 100th day of school treats...
We had some great helpers....
and lots of Valentine's...
We posed for pictures...
And most importantly, we enjoyed celebrating the friendship in our school family.Happy Valentine's Day!
