Seattle Aquarium

Last Thursday we headed to the Seattle Aquarium. It was a great ending to our study on sea creatures! We enjoyed a tide pool lesson and a look at some amazing sea creatures: Northern Fur Seals, sea otters, river otters, sea stars, sea anemones, sea cucumbers, fish galore, and more more more!

It was a nice day out (the weather cooperated!) and we all enjoyed ourselves. The kids had a great time. The highlight might even have been the bus ride - they were quite excited to see the lake as we headed over 520, pointed to where the Huskies' play, spotted two bald eagles, checked out the space needle, and waved at the police officers with their horses.

Thank you so much to our amazing volunteers: The Maldonados (Melissa's parents), Patricia (Sergio's mom), Bruce (Elsie's dad), Shannon (Gunner's mom), Jamie (Nina's mom), Anita (Tifen's mom), and everyone else who helped! We couldn't have done it without you!

Good times...

I liked touching the sea anemones and it was really fun - I hope we can go back there again.

I liked the aquarium because I like the fish. I see the big octopus. I saw a lot of fish and I touch the sea anemones. They were sticky.

I love that the male sea horses are the ones that have the babies instead of the moms.

I liked the otters and the other seals because they were cute. I liked when they were on their back eating fish.
