Seattle Aquarium

On Thursday, we headed to the Seattle Aquarium for a tide pool lesson and a look at some amazing sea creatures: Northern Fur Seals, sea otters, sea stars, sea anemones, sea cucumbers, fish galore, and more more more! It was a nice day out (despite being somewhat chilly) and we all enjoyed ourselves. The kids had a great time. The highlight might even have been the bus ride - they were quite excited to see the lake as we headed over 520, point to where the Huskies' play, check out the space needle, and wave at the police officers with their horses.
This was a great introduction to our ocean study and I'm looking forward to diving deeper into our study of ocean animal life over the next month.
Thank you so much to our amazing volunteers: Paige's mom and dad, Sammy's grandmother, Michael's mom, Kaela's mom, and Mr. Abel. We couldn't have done it without you!
